- What is the MyJPJ app? The MyJPJ is a mobile app. which was developed by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) for the public to do the following transactions:
- This App. is developed for the purpose of checking the licensing of motor vehicles. For example, it can be used to track the status of one’s license applications to the Road Transport Department (JPJ) or just simply check the expiration date of one’s motor vehicle license (LKM).
- It can also be used to check the validity of one’s driving license or the status of the results after he/she has taken a driving test conducted by JPJ.
- It can also be used to check for traffic summons which was served by JPJ and the number of demerit points he/she has accumulated due to the traffic offenses he/she has committed. The user can also check whether he/she has been blacklisted by the JPJ due to certain reasons.
- It can be linked to JPJ’s motor vehicle bidding platform (JPJeBid) to bid on your preferred car number plate. The app. also helps the applicant to obtain a queer number when dealing with JPJ (JPJeQ).
- It can also be used to report to JPJ any traffic offense witnessed on the road (eAduan@JPJ).
- By using this app the applicant will have LMM and LKM displayed on their user’s profile.
- In the future, this app will be further upgraded so that one can even renew his/her Malaysia Driving license (LMM) and also the Motor Vehicle License ( LKM) online. More new functions would be developed for the convenience of the users.
- Who is eligible to use MyJPJ?
- At this stage, The Myjpj is designed to be used by a Malaysian only whereby his/her ID particulars can be used to link to the application.
- What if a foreigner or those from a company/enterprise (Not an individual) also wish to use this application?
- For foreigners and those who fall under the category of company/enterprise, this app is still not open to them as yet and this is because this app is still in the development stages.
- Where can I download the Myjpj application?
- The MyJPJ application can be downloaded by using a Play Store app on a mobile phone such as Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Huawei AppGallery.
- Do I need to pay to download the MyJPJ application?
- No payment is required for using the MyJPJ application.
- What conditions are required to register this application using the user’s ID (JPJeID)? The conditions are as follows:
- Full Name
- Identity Card Number
- Valid Email Address
- Valid Mobile Phone Number, and
- The security code of the Malaysian Driving License (the security code can be found on the back of one’s driver’s license)
- Where can I obtain the security code from the Malaysia Driving License?

- What if I do not have an email address?
- Having an email account is mandatory and if you have none, you need to create an email to facilitate registration and receive a security code in the event the user forgets his/her password.
- However, registration using the ID without having an email account is still in the process of developing and the users will be duly informed in the near future.
- If a newcomer wishes to use this app. Is it necessary for him/her to register in this application?
- The answer is Yes, The new user,/she needs to register their JPJeID/ID Awam MySIKAP through the following channels:

- They can register by using the official JPJ website: https://public.jpj.gov.my/public/login.zul
- Go personally to the nearest JPJ’s Kiosk; or
- Go personally to the nearest JPJ office and be served over the counter.

- How do I go about registering the user’s name of my JPJeID through the MyJPJ app?
- The following are the steps you need to follow:
- Step 1: Look for the ‘Login’ display, and then click on, then look for “new account holder” to have the ID registered.
- Step 2: Fill in your correct Mykad/MyPR/MyKAS numbers and see whether the ID numbers have previously been registered.
- Step 3: Unregistered ID numbers will have the words “New Account” displayed on the screen.
- Step 4: Fill in your personal particulars as shown in the blanks provided. Then, press the ‘Confirm” button.
- Step 5: Finally, press the “SEND” button to have it registered as a new account.
- Step 6: You are required to log in for the first time after your account has been successfully registered. After that, you should proceed to press the “Continue” button.
- Step 7: There will be a popup message “Record successfully Stored”, Then create your own password, and click ‘OK’ to confirm the passwords for the second time.
- Step 8: Again, follow the required orders, and then press the “send” button.
- Step 9: You will again receive a popup message “Record successfully Stored”, and at the bottom of this message, click “OK” to return to the home page for “Log In”.

- Did the system allow the app to be in the state of log-in continuously?
- Yes, this application allows information stored at (the local storage) of your mobile phone and as such, the users need not have to log in multiple times.

THE DIGITAL DISPLAYS OF eLKM and eLMM
- What are the functions of eLKM and eLMM of the Myjpj application?
- The users could obtain the digital version of the Malaysia Driving License through (eLMM) and the Malaysia Motor Vehicle License by using (eLKM).
- How to access eLKM or eLMM in the Myjpj application?
- The user can access the above digital licenses and use the facilities by following the following steps:
- Step 1: The users must first log in to the Myjpj application.
- Step 2: At the Home Page of the Myjpj app, click on the icon of the profile which is located at the bottom of the screen.
- Step 3: For example, if one wishes to use the digital Motor Vehicle License (eLKM), the user needs to click on the tab on the “Lesen Kenderaan Motor”.
- By doing so, a list of vehicles that were registered under the user’s name will automatically be shown in both the section under “Motorsikal” (motorcycle) or “Selain Motorsikal” (vehicles other than motorcycle) on the screen.

- Why not? Yours JPJeID can be logged in on someone else’s mobile phone, but as a word of caution, please remember to’ LOG-OUT’ otherwise, your eLKM and eLMM information can be accessed by the mobile phone owner you had borrowed earlier.
- What then if my mobile phone was borrowed by others and can they get accessed into my JPJ’s digital platform?
- Yes. The borrowers could access your JPJ digital information if you forget to log out the app. So, please log out the app. before you intended to lend your mobile phone to others.
- Can I use my JPJeID and then use the eLKM app. to check if motor vehicles do not belong to me?
- The answer is No.
- In case, an owner wishes to share the information of his/her vehicle. They can only print out/screenshot their vehicles’ information by using the eLKM through the JPJ official websites.
- However, the function of sharing your vehicle information with other users via online is still in the stage of developing. The users will be duly informed once it has been set-up.
- How to bring the digital displays of the eLKM and eLMM into full screen for easy reading?
- The user can tab the full screen icon which is located at the bottom of the digital eLKM and eLMM displays and tab it to bring it into full screen.
- Can I check the information for a third-party licence holder through this app.?
- No way. This digital app.is security protected and can only be accessible by individual ID and password.
- Can the users use this app? to check the insurance details of their motor vehicles?
- Yes, why not.
- The validity of the car’s insurance can be traced through the digital eLKM platform.
- What is the function of the QR code in this app.?
- The QR code is solely for the usage of the enforcement officers from JPJ/PDRM during road- blocks set up by them. The special equipment they use can still be operated in areas where there was no network coverage.
- What is the status of my licence if upon inspection by the respective enforcement officer with their equipment on my app. ‘s QR code shows ‘Tidak berkuatkuasa’ or ‘berkuasa’?
- The meanings of ‘berkuasa’ and ‘tidak berkuatkuasa’ are as follow:
- ‘Berkuasa’ means the LKM/LMM of the owner’s motor vehicle/driving licence are still valid.
